Bismillah ArRahman ArRahim. Allahumma Rabbana Zidna ilma. Allahumma Rabbana Ihdinas sira talmustaqim. Amma ba’du
Allah had taught us in previous verses about those who were astray from the truth, and those who follow the right path, what will happen to them in the day after. That both groups will not be the same at Mahsyar.
Allah swt said to all of us
Surah As-Sajda, Verse 19:
أَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْمَأْوَىٰ نُزُلًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
As for those who believe and do good, the gardens are their abiding-place; an entertainment for what they did.
For those who believe, had repented from all shrik and do righteous deeds, who follow the teachings of prophet Muhammad pbuh not bidaah. For them, are gardens as hospitable homes. For what they had done before in their lifetime.
Bima kaanu yakmalun, for what they had done before only.
Surah Fussilat, Verse 46:
مَّنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ فَعَلَيْهَا وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
Whoever does good, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against it; and your Lord is not in the least unjust to the servants.
Tafseer
Whoever does good deeds, it’s for him. Whoever does bad deeds, it’s for him. Bima kaanu yakmalun – for what they do before.
No such verses that say, for what they do before and any deeds that their family gave to them after they die. So those who do Tahlil as a gift the loved ones who died is actually against these verses, i.e against the law of their Lord – shrik.
Surah As-Sajda, Verse 20:
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فَسَقُوا فَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ كُلَّمَا أَرَادُوا أَن يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا أُعِيدُوا فِيهَا وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
And as for those who transgress, their abode is the fire; whenever they desire to go forth from it they shall be brought back into it, and it will be said to them: Taste the chastisement of the fire which you called a lie.
And to those who are rebellious and wicked or transgress, their abode will be the fire of helfire. Every time they wish to get away from it, they will be forced there into. The angels will say to them, taste you the penalty of the Fires, which you called a lie or reject the Quran as false.
Tafseer
The purpose of preaching is to tell people about the Lord. When they were preach they reject it while saying that as a lie. So the penalty is hell, forever.
Surah As-Sajda, Verse 21:
وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَدْنَىٰ دُونَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
And most certainly We will make them taste of the nearer chastisement before the greater chastisement that haply they may turn.
And indeed We will make them taste of the penalty of this (life) but the penalty of the hereafter will be greater. So that they may repent to the Lord. Once we know about the truth ànd learn, then we will find that the true path is easy to follow. We can easily know if one is on the right path or not.
Surah As-Sajda, Verse 22:
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِ ثُمَّ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا إِنَّا مِنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ مُنتَقِمُونَ
And who is more unjust than he who is reminded of the communications of his Lord, then he turns away from them? Surely We will give punishment to the guilty.
And who does more wrong then the one who were recited to him, the sign of his Lord and who turn away. Verily we will give punishment to the guilty.
Tafseer
And who does more wrong than the one who were recited to him and he turn away, that means no one more wrong than him. Wrong to himself, makes him to endure the penalty of helfire forever in hell. He was preached about tauhid from Quran yet he turn away. It means he turn away from his Lord that created him. Provided him all requirements to live on earth and who answer his dua.
So Allah swt tell us the story of Musa a.s as an example of those who were astray.
Surah As-Sajda, Verse 23:
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَلَا تَكُن فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِّن لِّقَائِهِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ هُدًى لِّبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
And certainly We gave the Book to Musa, so be not in doubt concerning the receiving of it, and We made it a guide for the children of Israel.
And We indeed gave the book, Torah to Musa a.s. So don’t doubt of its reaching you, i.e don’t doubt in any of the books such as Torah, bible and Quran that’s from the Lord. And We made it as a guide to the children of Israel.
Tafseer
There are no doubt in the Quran, any doubts will be from those who don’t study Quran. Quran is a guide, to live on earth and the hereafter.
It’s a road map to the hereafter. It’s been there for you to know how to go the heaven, discribe in detail how to get there. What you will find out there. Or hell.
Children of Israel, sons of prophet Jacob a.s. Another of his name is Israel as Abdullah in arabic – Servant of Allah.
Surah As-Sajda, Verse 24:
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ
And We made of them Imams to guide by Our command when they were patient, and they were certain of Our communications.
And We made them leaders or imams , to give guidance from Our command, not his but mine as long as they persevered with patience and they about Our Signs they believe.
Tafseer
Jews were made by Allah to be leaders, kings before. They were also imams or rabbi, who preaches to people about their Lord. Whether they were kings or rabbi, they must adhere to the teachings of Moses a.s.
They must be patient while preaching the Torah. And continue to have faith in the Torah. So are for those ulamas. They must teach according to the teachings of prophet Muhammad pbuh. And the Quran.
They must not deviate the teachings of Quran and sunnah Rasulullah pbuh.
